On 21 October 2026, the Agro-industrial Engineering programme at Universidad de Sucre brought its graduates together with the peer reviewers of Colombia's Ministry of National Education. The visit is part of the renewal of the programme's high-quality accreditation, and the meeting with graduates is one of the settings in which the reviewers learn first-hand about the education they received and their professional performance.

Daniel Otero Meza, director of INGEBIR, attended as a graduate. He earned his degree in Agro-industrial Engineering at Universidad de Sucre, completed a PhD in Energy Engineering at Universidad de la Costa and is now a professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the same university.

Supporting Universidad de Sucre's institutional processes, such as this one, is part of the group's everyday work. The programme is also its main source of talent. Its deputy director, Eduardo Arroyo Dagobeth, and most of its members, researchers and students alike, studied or are studying Agro-industrial Engineering, and several of the undergraduate theses the group supervises belong to that programme.
